Secret Garden...

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. 

This summer has been all about the floral prints; whether it's on dresses, pants, or tops, it sure has shown up every where. I personally love floral print because you can style it in so many different ways.    You can pair it with a cut off denim vest to give it an edge or just pair it with simple accessories to leave it looking feminine. 

This is an American Eagle dress that I found while thrift shopping. I got it for only $8! It was great. From time to time I love walking through thrift stores because you can usually find a steal from tops to dresses to different accessories. There are higher end vintage/consignment stores that offer designer brands for less. I personally don't like to buy shoes from vintage stores, but that's just a personal choice. My advice is don't be bias about where you shop because a lot of times you can find some great items at the most unexpected places; whether it's consignment shops, Target or a high end store, a great deal is always a great deal. The trick is to style the item and wear it with confidence even if it's not a designer piece.


 Buffalo Exchange and sites like Snob Swap always have great items.

Retro Peplum...

Hi everyone! I hope you've had a great week. 

I've been in love with the peplum trend. This trend is so chic, cute and gives me a retro feel that I love. This black peplum top i found has little tiny gold studs all over and I was sold! It goes with so many different bottoms, whether it's skirts, jeans or pants.  I hope you feel inspired to put a little peplum in your outfit!

The Skinny on the Black Trouser...

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you guys had a great weekend. It always feels short, but this past weekend felt like it went by in a heartbeat. 

If I'm not wearing a dress or skirt to work, you can find me wearing skinny black trousers. I just find them to be very sophisticated and flattering. Whether you are shorter and petite or tall with long legs, either way it'll elongate your legs even more. I really like these black cotton trousers from Dahlia Collection that I found at TJ Maxx for only $25. They are so soft, comfortable and easy to move in. When wearing skinny black trousers you want to make sure it's not tight. You want there to be some moving room, especially if you're going to be moving around at work.  

For girls who are curvier or have wider hips, I suggest finding some that go just above the hip a little because if they sit right at the hip it's going to make your hips look even wider. Also, if you're a little insecure about the hip area, I wouldn't go too high-waisted because it'll make your waist look small, but really put your hips in the spotlight. For girls who are petite with barely there hips, I suggest going for trousers that stop right at the hips or a high waisted band would work too. It'll give you some more curve appeal.

Young at Heart...

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week. Friday is not that far away so keep on trucking, we're almost there! As serious as life can get sometimes, I think it's important to have fun with your clothes. From time to time you should be able to put on a pair of pink Vans and feel like a young girl who's just ready to have a fun day at the park. I love this outfit because it makes me feel young at heart with the stripes, fringe, and color. The color combination of the pastel orange shorts and the pink shoes reminds me of sherbet ice cream colors, which once again reminds me of being a young girl. Well I hope you feel inspired to feel like an eight year old again and don't take life too seriously because it'll get the best of you. Smile and have a great week!

Sparkling in the Daylight!....

Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend! It's been fun, but way too short as always.
As girls, we started loving shiny, sparkly things since we were young, especially sequins. I love sequins, but you have to be careful on how you style it because you don't want it to look tacky. Many people imagine sequins to be worn at night, but I believe that if you style it with the right top, shoes and accessories, it can be a great piece of clothing for the day too. There's something special about a classic white button up paired with a pair of sequin shorts. It makes a statement without being too dressy for the day time. If you plan on wearing a piece that's full of sequins and sparkly during the day, just make sure the rest of your outfit is plain and the colors flow. You want it to look relaxed and comfortable and not like you have two different pieces competing for attention.
