Mono...Mono...Monochromatic!

Hi everyone!

I hope you're having a great week. A big trend this summer is the monochromatic look from head to toe. You might think why would I want to wear a whole outfit in the same color and that would look weird, right? No! Don't underestimate yourself! This trend is pretty easy to wear. My advice is, if you  choose to go for a monochromatic look is to make sure it's still fun. If you go for an outfit with a top and bottom in the same exact color it gets boring! I would choose different textures and prints in the same color to make it interesting. My outfit below has a bottom with the denim texture and a sheer blouse with polka dots. How will you dress your mono mono look?!

Casual Summer...

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend and great week so far. Even though school has ended it's been a busy couple weeks trying to catch up on things around the house that have been on my list for awhile now. I've finally had a chance to get out and take some pictures for the blog and let me tell you it's definitely summer! It's been in the high 80's and is supposed to get to the 90's by the end of the week. This hot weather calls for heeled sandals, light blouses and shorts. 

I am in love with my Coach Mini Tanner that I recently received as a present from my bf. I have been looking for this purse for awhile now and the only place I found it was on Nordstrom.com. We ordered this purse on Monday night and it arrived on my doorsteps by Thursday. I was very impressed by the delivery timeframe from Nordstrom. I am definitely ordering from them again. This purse is the perfect size! It's not too small, but not too big and still a great size to wear as a cross body. If any of you have this purse, let me know what you think about it.

Garden of Flowers....

Hi everyone!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Just a quick hello before I rush off to get ready for a wedding. Sorry for being MIA since my last blog post. I've been busy with school projects and finals, but I am finally done with school for the semester! 

It's a gorgeous day here in Texas and warm weather calls for shorts, sunnies, and flowers! I fell in love with this peplum flowered top from F21 when I came across it. I've been trying to add more print into my wardrobe instead of just having solid colored pieces. This top is great with shorts, skinnies and even  with a black pencil skirt. I recommend finding more printed pieces to add to your closet for this summer. Printed pieces aren't just beautiful, but also make a statement in your outfit.

Classic Lace & Black...

Hi everyone! 

Happy Monday! Or better yet, happy now that Monday is almost over! Mondays are hard for all of us. I mean come on, the thought of having to wake up early in the morning and go back to work is definitely not as fun as hanging out with your family, friends, dogs, or BF and doing whatever. The weather was so amazing during the weekend that I had to get out and have a sister date with my older sissy. We had crepes & cappuccinos for lunch and did some shopping. Who could ask for a better Sunday!? 

I have a lot of black dresses and don't really like to wear them when it's super hot outside, but since the weather wasn't hot or cold and offered just the exact amount of warmness I decided to pull out a black dress. I love this lace dress because it's comfortable and the see through lace on the sleeves and back give a little sex appeal without giving too much. I love color and love wearing color during the spring & summer, but once in awhile, it's nice to throw on a simple LBD, fun shoes and start your day. Well, you know I had to throw in some fun wedges, after all I do own a small shoe boutique in my walk in. Ha!

Blue & Snake Skin...

Hi everyone just a quick hello and I hope you're having a great weekend!

Okay, so my two current obsessions are my blue peplum pencil skirt from Express and my Sam Edelman snake skin Taryn platform sandals with a chunky heel. I'm dying over this platform sandal because the chunky heel is so amazing and gives off a retro vibe. They are also super comfortable to walk in considering how high they are. Chunky heel sandals and pumps are really in this season and are in high demand! You don't have to worry about your heel getting stuck in a cement or sidewalk crack in these babies. The metallic snake skin print is to die for! It literally goes with so many things from this blue skirt to ankle skinnies to a plain LBD. I must say, they are amazing!

I love this blue peplum pencil skirt because not only was it on sale at Express, but it fits like a gem. I was super ecstatic when I realized I finally found not only a blue pencil skirt, but peplum and it's the perfect length and fit to wear to the office! Previous blue pencil skirts I've tried on have always been too tight to wear to the office. This one is a perfect match!

Candy Colored....

Hi everyone!

I hope you've had a great weekend! I've been so busy with work and school projects it's like I have 500 things going on in my head at once. It's hard trying to keep up with everything. Does anyone ever feel like that? One of my life goals is to move to another country, like Spain after graduation to live and work. Europe would be such an amazing place to live because people over there aren't obsessed with work and live at a slower pace to enjoy their lives. It's not all about work, time and money. Life is too short, so you have to live at a slower pace from time to time to soak in all the beautiful things going on around you. Where do you guys want to live if you could live anywhere in the world!?

Summer is officially here with the weather we've been having! I've been able to wear shorts, skirts and dresses, ahhhh-amazing! Purple and pink are some of my favorite colors for summer and below I feel candy colored, like the Nerds candy! Wedges are definitely perfect for summer especially if they are open toed. I recommended finding open toed, strappy and colorful wedges for this summer.
